Lenny Say hi to Lenny! The wee man arrived 22nd December 2008. What a Christmas present!

... We've had an Allotment and been growing our own fruit and veg for three seasons now with mixed success.

Anja 11.01.07 Baby Anja arrived on the 11th of January 2007. A week early, maybe due to the kitchen worktops going in the day before! Mother and baby kept in overnight so at least I got the plumbing finished before they came home!

... When the Gas Supplier decided to renew the main round here they condemned our old back boiler. Seeing as how replacing it would mean ripping out most of the old pipework we decided we might as well have the conservatory and new kitchen we'd been thinking about done at the same time. Nothing like having a deadline to work to though...

Velky Rozutec, Mala Fatra Actually made it all the way up Velky Rozutec in the Mala Fatra on this years trip to Slovakia, on what turned out to be one of the hottest days the region has seen for quite some time. Other highlights include blueberrys, mushrooms and a melon...

Wastwater, Cumbria Hana had a paddle in England's deepest lake (not that bit just there, obviously) when we went for a wander around the Lake District in May. We found a nice little holiday cottage to stay in just a couple of minutes walk from Wastwater which also made a great starting point for an amble up Scafell Pike.

Diggerland, Devon Diggerland is a bit of a laugh.
I took Hana there as a (total) suprise on her birthday last year while the folks back here in Swindon were organising a party for her. She's always had a thing about diggers for some strange reason, but, hey ho, there you go...

Brecon Beacons, South Wales We went stumbling about in the Brecon Beacons a while back, staggered up Pen-y-Fan and wrecked my knee on the way down, went swimming in icy cold rivers, and found some real nice camping spots for future expeditions.

Bojnice, Slovakia There are some spectacular castles in Slovakia, on our trip in May 2003 we visited Zamok Bojnice. There was a festival of some sort going on, including a well acted historical reconstruction tour of the castle. Didn't understand a bit of it myself...

Above Zazriva, looking towards the Mala Fatra For our 2004 trip we took the new Skoda. Made it all the way to Piestany in about 21 hours with stops every four hours for a break and to top up fuel. All told it cost about the same as it had previously to fly to Vienna, take a bus to Bratislava, finishing the last leg by train. That took about the same time too!
